Hyatt House Columbus OSU Short North

The location was great: Easy in/easy out and close to everywhere we were going. The needs we're SO comfortable, and the black-out blinds were a nice bonus. We wish we had time to try out the pool, because I heard after the fact that it was heated AND salt water! We had just shelled out all of our money for our daughter's wedding - ha ha! - so the free breakfast was much appreciated. Staff was very kind and helpful. The walk-in shower was Awesome! The kitchen island in the den suite worked great for wedding hair and makeup!

The room was very clean and nice with a thick and soft bed, a couch, a desk, and a large shower. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was full of options, freshly cooked and very delicious. The pool was lovely, it is salt water and kept at a very nice temperature and had a shower to rinse off with right beside it. The internet was fast and secure and worked well with multiple devices. They supplied a ton of towels and toiletries and a lot of extra toilet paper in our room. My room location was very convenient, right next to the elevator. And the hotel was in an excellent spot, super close to downtown. Overall, it was an exceptional hotel for a surprisingly affordable price!!

I am a stickler about the hotels I stay in and I must say my family was truly comfortable here. Everything was exceptionally clean including the pool area. We had a one bedroom king suite which had a kitchen area with Everything you need to prepare a meal which we did not do. Full size fridge, stove top, dishwasher, all kitchen utensils. The location is only about 20 min from zoombezi beyond and the zoo also. The staff was friendly and smooth check in process. A buffet breakfast was offered, the only thing is there was not a whole lot off options but then again think we were a little late. I would stay here again.

The king bed standard room was great! Large tv, comfortable bed, extra seating space and the bathroom was a great size with a beautiful shower and mirror. I requested extra pillows on the notes of booking.com and they did leave extra ones for us! The location was also a couple minutes to the highway and we wanted to stay closer to Short North. The amenities, especially the gym was another reason we decided to book our stay here. Multiple squat racks, cable machine and dumbbells to 75lbs (which is unheard of for a hotel gym) were a great addition as we like to work out while still away from home. We didn’t utilize the pool but it was a decent size. Indoor and expected the water to be warmer, but it was more like an outdoor pool temp. Overall a great stay, and I think Hyatt might become my preferred hotel chain over IHG and Marriott.

The location is pretty amazing, right near the OSU campus. The breakfast is great too, since it's complimentary and offers a lot of options. The gym is great, since it has a big facilities and many equipment that is available. Room is clean, overall I'm satisfied.
