Hyatt House Columbus OSU Short North

The king bed standard room was great! Large tv, comfortable bed, extra seating space and the bathroom was a great size with a beautiful shower and mirror. I requested extra pillows on the notes of booking.com and they did leave extra ones for us! The location was also a couple minutes to the highway and we wanted to stay closer to Short North. The amenities, especially the gym was another reason we decided to book our stay here. Multiple squat racks, cable machine and dumbbells to 75lbs (which is unheard of for a hotel gym) were a great addition as we like to work out while still away from home. We didn’t utilize the pool but it was a decent size. Indoor and expected the water to be warmer, but it was more like an outdoor pool temp. Overall a great stay, and I think Hyatt might become my preferred hotel chain over IHG and Marriott.

Great location, value, comfort, a real breakfast, perfect free wifi, comfy beds, perfect shower with wall dispensers, great gym, didn’t get to use the pool, but it was nice, and the hotel is right off the highway and right next to a great paved trail. I believe they have bikes to use, we didn’t have time, but the trail goes up and down and was pretty full with bike commuters and felt very safe. it went right up and past the stadium so I had a lovely 5-mile run and had plenty more path to use. The breakfast was the best complimentary breakfast I have seen. We were upgraded and loved the kitchenette. It was fully stocked with a nice island. If our daughter accepts OSU’s offer, this is where we will stay when visiting!

Excellent room and facilities. We had to stay in Columbus for a medical procedure and the hotel was a great place to rest and recharge. The front desk staff who checked us in was fantastic. Location to Wexner and Ross Heart Hospital is ideal. Restaurant and bar area was great. Room was excellent

Booked this hotel for a one night stay after seeing a show at Newport Music Hall. After picking this hotel for the price and good reviews it really exceeded our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly both upon our arrival and departure. Especially loved that the employee who welcomed us was wearing a pride pin! Though our room was right next to the elevator, it was quiet and the bed was comfortable! Also enjoyed the view of trees outside our window. This masked any view of the highway and gave the room a more peaceful feel. Breakfast was on par with other hotels we've visited! The employee running breakfast kept things well stocked and fresh (even though it was close to the end of the breakfast period) AND offered to take our plates for us. The cleanliness, friendliness, and attention to detail here were surprising! Though it was a lengthy walk we were able to walk to and from the concert. Also walked right by the football stadium, which is a short distance away. Would definitely stay here again!

My mom is in the medical center which is a close distance from the Hyatt House. The hotel is nice and clean the staff was really understanding about my family situation with my mom being sick expect 1 front desk worker" kristen "she was rude and mean for no reason saying they were sold out then extending our room later after my sister called me for confirmation number..i explain they never gave us a hand copy its in my email then read the conf# to her.. She gave my family trouble about extending the room even those we told her that the front desk workers all knew our situation. She tried to not extend our room. All in the name of no reason. Some people have hidden agendas about how they treat you?
